State Opioid Response 4 Grant in Iowa - The focus of this project is to fund efforts that increase community capacity for a successful response to the opioid and stimulant crises via the goals noted below. To ensure SAMHSA's State Opioid Response (SOR) funding supplements current efforts with the greatest positive impact possible, Iowa will coordinate and expand the efforts started with prior State Opioid Response grants while addressing emerging priorities across the state. Iowa estimates that 29,400 Iowans will benefit from prevention, treatment, and/or recovery services during this grant period. GOAL 1: Expand and maintain quality statewide treatment access for Iowans with an opioid and/or stimulant use disorder to protect and improve the health and resiliency of Iowans. GOAL 2: Increase statewide prevention, early intervention and harm reduction efforts to reduce the negative impacts of opioid and stimulant use disorders on Iowa's communities. GOAL 3: Expand and maintain statewide, high quality supports for multiple pathways to recovery for Iowans seeking to establish and/or maintain long term recovery.
