Positively You - Mile High Behavioral Healthcare (MHBHC), proposes Positively You, which is an innovative substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program that co-locates clinical treatment providers with probation/parole officers (P/POs) at MHBHC's treatment sites. Positively You will increase knowledge about the impact of including P/POs as part of clients' clinical care teams on outcomes related to clients' recovery from SUD or co-occurring disorder (COD) and successful reentry. Positively You will serve 75 adult clients per year (375 over the five-year project) who are assessed to be high-risk, high-need offenders based on a score of 19 or above on the Level of Service Inventory (LSI-R). All clients must have a diagnosed SUD; be referred by MHBHC's primary partners, the Denver Sheriff Department (DSD) and Denver County Probation; and be on probation (or eligible for probation in the next 60 days) from the Denver County Jail. MHBHC anticipates that all of Positively You's clients will be low income; 22% female and 78% male; and 44% white, 30% Latino, 25% African American and 1% Asian.
