Two Feathers Youth Ambassador Prevention Project will provide opioid prevention education, mentorship, and leadership development for youth ages 16-21 in the Coastal Humboldt County region. This region spans the more populated length of the county's coastline, from as far south as Fortuna to as far north as Big Lagoon, a 50 mile distance by the main freeway. Two Feathers seeks to develop 15 Youth Ambassadors ages 16-21 that understand the root causes of substance abuse, are skilled in culturally and traditionally evidenced-based interventions, and are able to advocate for culturally responsive policies that support AI youth wellbeing in Humboldt County.
