Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSUCHS), acting through the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, seeks to implement DATA waiver training opportunities for all second-year residents as part of their graduate medical education. Others to be trained include attending physicians across specialties and area providers including PA and NP providers. Specialty areas include family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, surgery, orthopedics, psychiatry, and pediatrics. Untreated opioid use disorders have devastating effects on our patients and their families. The Graduate Medical Education on Treatment of Opioid Use Disorders project is a strategic initiative for OSUCHS.
