This proposed program will be administered by the 5th Generation Healing Center, a 20-bed Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. The purpose of our Tribal Opioid Response program is to decrease the misuse of opioids/methamphetamines among individuals with the boundaries of the Turtle Mountain Reservation, located in North Central North Dakota. In addition to an Advisory Board, 8 New positions will be advertised to assist with the goals and objectives of the grant. A goal of 60 opioids/methamphetamines clients will attend Treatment from 1 to 9 months; 60 families of clients will be served with a new Best Practice Model; 2,000 community members will receive information on the effects of opioids/methamphetamines; Culture relevant materials on effects of opioids/methamphetamines will be developed and implemented within the Community. Also, the Schools will be provided with training on the effects of opioids/methamphetamines during year two; 500 individuals will be trained in Narcan and 5 Doctors/Professionals on MAT. As part of the prevention of opioids/methamphetamines a community education conference will be held each year.
