The population of focus for this project consists of individuals who are court ordered into the Clark County, Eighth Judicial District Court (EJDC), Adult Drug Court program and who require residential treatment or intensive outpatient treatment, with a housing component. The primary geographic area to be served is Clark County, Nevada. However, the EJDC Adult Drug Court will accept cases from other jurisdictions. The EJDC will continue to partner with two local non-profit organizations to expand capacity for residential and intensive outpatient treatment services for Adult Drug Court participants. The project proposes to serve 61 unduplicated individuals annually and 305 individuals throughout the entirety of the project period, with the requested grant funds. Clark County lacks sufficient residential placement facilities for inpatient substance misuse treatment. The primary residential service provider in Clark County is WestCare and EJDC recently partnered with Freedom Behavioral Health for residential and intensive outpatient services; however, these providers do not have the capacity to place all individuals requiring inpatient treatment and may not be the appropriate placement for everyone. As a result, individuals remain in Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) awaiting substance misuse treatment for up to 4-6 months. Currently, Freedom Behavioral Health has 20 vacant beds but due to lack of funding, cannot fill them. The goals and objectives for this project are: 1. Goal: Participants will engage and complete treatment. Objective: 75% of enrolled participants will successfully complete their individualized treatment plans and graduate. 2. Goal: Participants will reduce their substance use. Objective: 80% of enrolled participants will have reduced substance use. 3. Goal: Participants will remain abstinent. Objective: 65% of the program graduates will remain substance free at 6 months post-intake. 4. Goal: Participants will reduce criminal conduct and activity. Objective: 80% of enrolled will exhibit a reduction in criminal activity and 65% of program graduates will remain crime free at 6 months post-intake. 5. Goal: Through treatment, participants will have a reduction of trauma related symptoms. Objective: 70% of enrolled participants will have reduced trauma-related symptoms. 6. Goal: Increase employment. Objective: 70% of enrolled participants that received employment services will have employment by 6 months post-intake. 7. Goal: Increase stable housing. Objective: 75% of enrolled participants lacking stable housing at intake will have stable housing at discharge. 8. Goal: Increase positive social network. Objective: 80% of enrolled participants who complete their treatment plans will self-report improved social connectedness at discharge.
