The Healthy Dent County Prevention Coalition will implement the Dent County STOP Act Project in the rural area of Dent County, Missouri. The target population for this project is youth ages 12-18, transition youth ages 19-20, and their parents or guardians. The goal of this project is to reduce youth alcohol use in Dent County. The objectives of the program are: 1) By September 29, 2027, a social host awareness campaign will be delivered to 800 people as evidenced by meeting minutes, sign-in sheets, and the number of materials distributed. 2) By September 29, 2027, the coalition and youth coalition will attend a minimum of four (4) county and city government meetings to advocate for a social host ordinance as evidence by government meeting minutes. 3) By September 29, 2027, the coalition will deliver at least four (4) Responsible Beverage Service Training workshops to local retailers and alcohol establishments as evidenced by training surveys. 4. By September 29, 2027, the youth coalition will conduct 16 quarterly prevention activities as evidenced by meeting minutes and activity reports. 5. By September 29, 2027, at least 400 high school aged youth will participate in the Sober Grad project as evidenced by registration forms, meeting minutes and activity reports. 6. By September 29, 2027, friends’ perception of “coolness” will reduce by 10% as evidenced by the Missouri Student Survey. 7. By September 29, 2027, at least 800 youth, young adults, and parents will receive a positive social norms campaign as evidenced by the number of media produced, the number of materials distributed, and activity reports. 8. By September 29, 2027, the number of students reporting “no risk” or “slight risk” will reduce by 10% as evidenced by the Missouri Student Survey. and 9. By September 29, 2027, there will be a 3% reduction in past 30-day use of alcohol by youth as evidenced by the Missouri Student Survey.
