CAREaz Strategic Prevention Framework Project to Reduce Alcohol, Meth and Opioids Among Youth and Adults and to Prevent Recidivism of Re-Entry Individuals in the Target Area. - CAREaz will use the Strategic Prevention Framework to reduce alcohol, meth and opioids among youth and adults and to prevent recidivism of formerly incarcerated individuals re-entering into the target catchment area. The goals of the project are 1) Prevent the onset and reduce the progression of alcohol abuse and its related problems among youth and adults in the target catchment area; 2) Prevent the onset and reduce the progression of methamphetamine use and its related problems in the target catchment area; 3) Prevent the onset and reduce the progression of opioid use and abuse and its related problems in the target catchment area; 4) Increase the capacity and infrastructure of the target catchment area to develop and deliver culturally competent alcohol, meth and opioid prevention strategies; and 5) Increase the capacity and infrastructure of the catchment area to reduce recidivism and relapse among individuals re-entering society following incarceration.
