Boulder County Public Health will partner with community members, community organizations, and local leaders to increase prevention infrastructure by utilizing the SPF process to use local data to assess community needs, increasing the capacity of community members and decision-makers to implement effective and culturally responsive prevention strategies, and increasing community knowledge of local data. Due to the expansion of prevention infrastructure, community-based organizations, local jurisdictions, and schools will adopt policies that support prevention efforts that are culturally responsive for the Latinx and LGBTQ community and make substance use prevention a fiscal priority. As a result, youth and adult substance use will decrease in Boulder County by 2-5% from levels in the 2019 HKCS survey, SVVSD Health and Wellness Inventory and BRFSS data.
