The Isla Vista Alcohol and Drug Coalition (IVAOD) proposes to execute strategies that will lead to community level change by engaging a broad spectrum of the community. From the youth and families through local leadership as represented by the sectors. The IVAOD will provide community outreach and information on substance abuse. The coalition will facilitate workshops and other events to enhance skills as well as providing support for participants. The coalition will seek to enhance access and reduce barriers for youth. The objective is to change consequences and change physical design as appropriate. The coalition aims to modify and or change policies with respect to substance abuse issues.
