All In Clayton Coalition DFC - The All In Clayton Coalition DFC program will address youth alcohol, marijuana, and e-cigarette use in Clayton, MO. With a population of 16,805 (expected number served), it is the 20th most populous city in St. Louis County (out of 98).Error! Bookmark not defined. Clayton is a mix of urban and suburban populations, with a median household income of $91,381 and 7.9% of all residents living in poverty. US Census data shows that the county is made up equally of males and females, with a median age of 31.2 years. The population is 77.6% Caucasian, 7% African American, 12.6% Asian and 3.3% Hispanic. The goals of this project are: (1) Increase Community Collaboration and (2) Reduce Youth Substance Use. This will be achieved through the following objectives: Objective 1.1: By the end of the initial grant period (10/30/20), All In will build internal organizational capacity through enhanced structure, training, and planning as measured by initial, then annual, online assessment of staff and membership demonstrating a 20% increase in understanding of the coalition’s mission and accomplishments as measured by stakeholder survey. Objective 1.2: By the end of the first grant period (10/30/20), build from 6 to 12 the number of impactful relationships established with Community as measured by attendees at meetings, new sponsorships, new activities, and/or invitations to participate in others' meetings, events, and activities as compared to baseline. Objective 2.1: By 10/30/20, All In will record a 2% increase in the perception of harm of alcohol use and reduce by 2% the ease of alcohol access among young people surveyed as measured by the Missouri Student Survey and by focus group interviews. Objective 2.2: By 10/30/20 All In will show a 2% increase in the perception of harm of marijuana misuse and reduce by 2% the ease of access reported by young people as measured by the Missouri Student Survey and by focus group interviews. Objective 2.3: By 10/30/20, All In will record a 2% increase in the perception of harm of e-cigarettes misuse and increase by 2% the perception of peer disapproval as measured by the Missouri Student Survey and by focus group interviews. All In will implement programs that partner with retailers to address access to alcohol, provide the community with educational resources and awareness campaigns regarding marijuana’s impact on the developing brain, and promote the understanding of the potential harm and youth access to e-cigarettes. Throughout these strategies, Clayton youth will play a key role in leading, promoting and evaluating the group’s progress.
