This project shall be called the Campbell County Underage Drinking Initiative. The project will last 4 years (48 months) and will cover the catchment area of Campbell County, KY which has a population of 92,000. The project will serve the target population of ages 9 through 20. Campbell County Drug Free Alliance has two goals for this grant with aligned objectives. The first goal is to increase community connectedness with and between alcohol distributors, retailers, and regulatory bodies to help them understand their roles in youth alcohol-use prevention. Objectives include: 1. By August 30, 2020, develop Campbell County Toolkit for Best Practices of Alcohol Service as evidenced by Toolkit creation; 2. By June 30, 2021, 50% of participating Project Sticker Shock retailers will participate in RBS training; 3. By September 1, 2021, 4 out of 6 local parish festivals will improve its alcohol serving policies by utilizing the Toolkit; 4. By June 30, 2023 reduce percentage of 10th graders (800 students) who report it is "very easy" to get alcohol by 5% as measured by the 2022 Kentucky Incentives for Prevention Survey (from 30% in 2016 to 25% in 2022). The second goal is to increase networking between parents/guardians to create a culture where they can support each other to prevent their youth from engaging in underage alcohol use. Objectives include: 1. By August 30, 2020, increase coalition membership by three parents and/or caregivers as measured by meeting sign-in sheets; 2. By June 30, 2021, implement campaign to promote Talk They Hear You to parents/guardians in Campbell County; 3. By June 30, 2023, 10th graders reporting they get alcohol from home will decrease by 5% as measured by the 2022 Kentucky Incentives for Prevention Survey (from 13% in 2016 to 8% in 2022).
