Drug Free Communities Grant serving the community zipcode 89144. The project focus on two drugs Marijuana and prescription drugs. The project site is Rogich Middle School. - PACT will focus on the 89144 zip code to enhance prevention efforts in the community of focus within the areas surrounding Sig Rogich Middle School. This is a continuation of five previous years of funding in the same zip code which has changed the landscape of the school for the better. Unfortunately due to the deadly influx of fentanyl into the community, efforts will need to be strengthened to address this deadly issue. Collaborations between PACT and Clark County School District, local law enforcement, public health partners and over 100 other community partners will ensure the success of this project at a grass roots community level. This grant will focus on reducing youth marijuana use and illicit prescription drug use. These areas of focus were chosen by students within Rogich Middle School due to the serious nature of these two substances. School administration support these two drugs of focus and will support youth programming to address these issues.
