Arizona Youth Partnership's Collaboration with the Copper Corridor Coalition to reduce alcohol, marijuana and prescription drug abuse in youth. - Youth in the Copper Corridor of rural Arizona have a higher percentage use of alcohol, marijuana and Rx/Prescription drugs than the Arizona state average according to the Arizona Youth Survey 2016. The Copper Corridor Coalition will strengthen collaboration among the communities of the Copper Corridor to reduce use among their youth. The coalition will address alcohol, marijuana and Rx/Prescription drugs. They will utilize the Strategic Prevention Framework of beginning with assessment, capacity building, planning, implementation and evaluation. The coalition will enhance the skills of coalition members and the public with education, marketing, and training in the area of youth alcohol, marijuana and prescription drug abuse. The Copper Corridor Coalition is positioned to take action on local data and act on a strong action plan.
