The Union County Drug Free Coalition requests a FY 2019 Drug-Free Communities Support Program grant in the amount of $ 125,000 from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, in cooperation with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The Coalition serves all of Union County including Marysville, Richwood, Millford Center, Ohio, a community of 57,835. The goals of the coalition are to establish and strengthen community collaboration in support of local efforts to prevent youth substance use. The coalition will achieve its goals by implementing these strategies to address underage drinking and youth use of marijuana. The coalition is helping business owners and the county with public and personnel policies to address the availability of medical marijuana. The coalition is also working with area parents and businesses to reduce underage drinking and access to alcohol
