MHAT Regional Training Collaborative, (MRTC) - PanCare of Florida, Inc. will implement the MHAT Regional Training Collaborative across Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Walton, and Washington counties in the Northwest Florida Panhandle. The project will focus on students in grades 6–12 and residents age 18 and older and strengthen recognition, safe response, de-escalation, referral, and connection to care through Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), targeted Mental Health First Aid, de-escalation education, resource guides and referral protocols, and a regional Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) collaborative. By 10/31/2026, PanCare will establish the Regional MHAT Training Collaborative with monthly meetings. Beginning 11/1/2026, PanCare will train at least 500 QPR participants annually, with at least 85% reporting improved awareness, suicide prevention knowledge, and referral confidence. Beginning 1/1/2027, PanCare will offer targeted MHFA and integrate de-escalation into QPR, MHFA, and CIT-related trainings, with at least 85% reporting improved confidence to recognize, respond, de-escalate, and refer. PanCare will provide QPR and de-escalation sessions in at least 6 new community settings annually and engage at least 12 community allies annually. By 7/1/2027, PanCare will launch quarterly CIT trainings, maintain a monthly CIT Work Group, complete county-specific referral protocols, train at least 105 officers annually, and disseminate referral resources.
