The Tei Nii I inn Kiin Native Connections grant program aims to strengthen youth and young adult (up to age 24) serving agencies to address childhood mental health issues, experiences of trauma, suicide risk, and the cycle of violence. This program provides a profound opportunity for Tei Niii I iin Kiin to develop an intervention system grounded in Aaniiih and Nakoda ways of knowing and being. This indigenous model can reduce the impact of suicide, mental illness, and substance abuse to benefit youth, families, and generations to come by ending these cycles
