This project will serve a diverse rang of youth ages 0-21 and their families in Muskegon County, Michigan who have or are at risk for developing serious emotional disturbance and who are involved I multiple child serving systems. This project will build upon and expand the county's MYalliance SOC efforts by filling service gaps, enhancing existing services, and building the capacity and infrastructure of child service systems to deliver care consistent with SOC values. We will accomplish this through the implementation of th following: Increased capacity for Mobile Response and Stabilization (MRSS) which provides in person responses to crisis situations within 1-2 hours and provides assessment, de-escalation, safety planning and referral; increased Peer delivered services, supports and mechanisms to promote youth and family participation in development and implementation of the SOC at service and system levels; development of Therapeutic Foster Care and Crisis Respite; Wraparound and Transition to Independence Process (TIP) models; Universal Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) screening in the primary care setting; and building bridges with child serving systems including nontraditional partners such as faith based institutions and social justice organizations. We will enroll 100 youth/year for a total of 400 over the project.
