The purpose of CPLC’s Treatment for Individuals Experience Homelessness (TIEH) Program is to improve the quality of life for individuals with SMI, SED and COD, including youth, families, single adults, the elderly and persons with historical domestic violence who are experiencing homelessness in the Maryvale area of Phoenix.
CPLC plans to outreach 200 unduplicated homeless individuals annually with TIEH funds. Based on our experience in working with high risk, transient populations with substance use, mental illness and COD, we expect to enroll 25% of these individuals in year one, with an enrollment increase to 35% in subsequent years. We have found that multiple engagements are frequently necessary to establish trust. Our outreach will include Maryvale zip codes and due to population transience, we will also outreach to homeless individuals in the adjoining zip codes of Phoenix. Over the entire project period, we expect to enroll 330 individuals.
