Clinical Equipment and Technology Enhancement Project - Seldovia Village Tribe (SVT) requests funding through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending (CPF/CDS) Program to improve healthcare delivery by replacing aging medical equipment, expanding health information technology, and purchasing eligible movable equipment that supports safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. SVT operates Community Health Centers in Homer, Anchor Point, and Seldovia, Alaska, providing integrated primary care, dental, behavioral health, and wellness services to Alaska Native and American Indian patients, Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, uninsured and underinsured individuals, and other residents of the southern Kenai Peninsula. As a rural healthcare provider, SVT serves communities that experience geographic isolation, transportation barriers, and limited access to specialty care. Aging equipment and outdated technology reduce clinical efficiency, increase maintenance needs, and can limit the Tribe's ability to meet the growing healthcare needs of the communities it serves. The 12-month Clinical Equipment and Technology Enhancement Project will support the purchase and implementation of eligible movable medical equipment and healthcare technology that enhance clinical operations, improve patient safety, strengthen emergency response capabilities, modernize dental and diagnostic services, support telehealth and electronic health information systems, and increase provider efficiency. Equipment will be selected based on clinical priorities, organizational need, and HRSA eligibility requirements. Project activities will include procurement, installation, staff training, and integration into daily healthcare operations. By modernizing essential equipment and technology, Seldovia Village Tribe will improve access to reliable, high-quality healthcare, strengthen healthcare infrastructure across its service area, and enhance its ability to provide timely, culturally responsive care to the rural communities it serves.
