Embryo Solution will increase awareness and accessibility of embryo adoption and donation for low- and middle-income couples. Due to high cost of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), the treatment is generally limited to high-income couples. Therefore, the majority (75%) of couples struggling to conceive would not have the financial means to engage with a fertility clinic. And as a result, most would not have an opportunity to learn about embryo adoption as a family building option from a fertility clinic. Thus, it is crucial that women and couples learn about embryo adoption and donation early in their family building journey. The OBGYN office presents an ideal place to begin this education and is visited prior to starting costly treatment at fertility clinics. In the scope of this project, we will run an OBGYN awareness campaign to educate medical professionals about embryo adoption/donation as a affordable, lower cost family building option, and educate the OBGYN physician about the need to provide this information to their patients at the beginning of their fertility treatment. Additionally, we will reach low- and middle-income couples with information about embryo adoption and donation through a digital public awareness campaign using various Google ad tools. Finally, we will create an online version of home study to further lower the financial burden of embryo adoption for adoptive parents while ensuring best practices associated with adoption. Embryo Solution is an embryo adoption agency. We will provide a full range of services to embryo donors and adoptive parents who would reach out to us as a result of the awareness campaign. The services would include: psychological counseling, matching donor and adoptive parents, offering a legal contract sample, facilitating interaction between donor and recipient fertility clinics, organizing shipment of embryos, and mediating communication between donor and adopting couples if they choose semi-closed ad option until the child reaches 18 years of age.
