NHBP Electronic Health Records (EHR) Upgrade - Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi's (NHBP's) current Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within the Health and Human Services Department functions as a fragmented and outdated management structure that hinders the ability to deliver coordinated, data-driven care. Rather than supporting operational efficiency and clinical decision-making, the system introduces barriers across nearly every aspect of patient care and health administration. These limitations negatively impact the capacity of the Health and Human Services Department to manage Purchased/Referred Care (PRC), track quality measures (e.g., GPRA), and meet federal data reporting requirements (e.g., NDW, SDPI). This proposed project under the Health Management Structure category will allow the health and human services department to design and implement a modern EHR system tailored to Tribal health needs. The project will replace the existing system with a platform that supports integrated workflows, improves billing and data reporting, and strengthens overall health program oversight. Investing in this foundational infrastructure is essential to fulfilling NHBP’s long-term vision of self-determination and improving outcomes for the community.
