This project will support the Suquamish Tribe in strengthening internal oversight and quality systems across its behavioral health programs by hiring a Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer. - The Suquamish Tribe requests Tribal Management Grant Program funding to strengthen internal quality assurance and compliance systems within its Health Division. This effort will support the hiring of a 0.75 FTE Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer who will lead the development of standard operating procedures, audit tools, and reporting systems across key programs. The officer will also oversee the implementation of staff training, patient satisfaction processes, and documentation protocols that support licensure, accreditation, and performance monitoring across behavioral health, and OTP services. The project will be carried out over 24 months and is designed to build sustainable systems that support accreditation readiness, improve care quality, and enhance patient outcomes. Activities include producing a compliance manual, conducting internal audits, monitoring key metrics through the electronic health record system, and improving coordination among service providers. The proposed project will support consistent standards across programs, improve care operations, and ensure readiness for long-term growth and oversight under the Tribe’s IHS compact.
