Project Abstract Benewah Medical Center dba Marimn Health HHS-2020-IHS-TMD-0001 CFDA 93.228 Health Management Structure One Year/ $100,000 Request 9/8/2020 – 9/7/2021 In response to the Notice of Funding Opportunity HHS-2020- IHS-0001 Tribal Management Grant, Benewah Medical Center dba Marimn Health (MH) is requesting $100,000, under the Health Management Structure One-Year Category. This proposed funding will support the installation of an operational network system and security system at the Worley Center. This center was designed to expand access to preventative, treatment, and referral services for those members of our population considered high risk. The Center is in response to the Marimn Health Strategic Plan (FY 2019-2020) which identified a need to implement a facilities expansion with improved access to care that included the systematic management of care for the high risk population within our area. Our Marimn Health Center IT Department adapted and improved its IT infrastructure and strengthened its management information system in response to this need. Because the Worley site does not have local access to the Marimn Health Clinic IT Department, installation of the operational system is necessary. The proposed plan is for the purchase of network equipment; router and switches, a server, wireless system and a recorder. This equipment will be installed by Marimn Health IT Department. Marimn will contract with a vendor for the purchase and installation of security video cameras. Installation of these systems will enhance delivery of accurate, timely and efficient services, as well as, establish a sustainable system which is projected to positively improve management capabilities and improve patient care. With the expansion of prevention, treatment and referral services at the Worley Center, the anticipated benefit to the community will be a decrease in high risk behaviors with a subsequent increase in healthy life styles. Plans include on-going monitoring for three years after project implementation to ensure quality improvement and successful patient outcomes.
