Southern Indian Health Council, Inc. (SIHC) covers the service area of 1,490 square miles that spans into the rural southeast of San Diego County, which is 33% of San Diego County’s, California 4,526 square miles. SIHC consists of seven Federally recognized Tribes of the Barona Band of Mission Indians, Campo Band of Diegueno Mission Indians, Ewiiaapaayp Band of Kumeyaay Indians, Jamul Indian Village of California, La Posta Band of Diegueno Mission Indians of the La Posta Indian Reservation, Manzanita Band of Diegueno Mission Indians, and the Viejas Band of Capitan Grande Band of Mission Indians of the Viejas Reservation. SIHC offers medical, dental, pharmaceutical, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and family services. The proposed TMG project is focused on analyzing how to best add new services in a cost effective manner that will evaluate current programs, services, functions, and activities (PSFAs) and seek new sustainable options. By the end of the project term there will be an increase of 9 to 15 enhanced and/or new PSFAs, which will increase in-house services by 40% within 4 to 9 departments. Enhanced and/or new PSFAs will include, but not limit SIHC to the respective restructuring of the infrastructure, policies, strategic plan, and organizational chart.
