The Minneapolis Health Department will be partnering with community based clinics and non-profit organizations to advance health literacy to enhance equitable community responses to COVID-19. Through a self-assessment the Minneapolis Health Department will establish the work that needs to be done at the Health Department to make it a more health literate and equitable institution. The Project Director and Equity Manager will coordinate this process. Community clinics will also complete a self assessment process and then work with the Project Director and Program Assistant to implement efforts to improve and correct to increase health literacy. Community non-profit partners will assist in the sharing of health literacy and COVID-19 information to community members. Metropolitan State University, our Minority Serving Institution, will develop the project evaluation and quality improvement efforts and ensure reporting to the OMH>
