Congressionally Directed Spending for Construction Projects - In May 2014, La Clinica del Valle (dba La Clinica) purchased a property consisting of 4 tax lots, totaling 2.90 acres, for $1,675,000. This property holds our Wellness Center (tax lot 1200) and Acute Care Clinic (tax lots 209 and 202). This property also contains tax lot 201 which holds a 2,436 square foot masonry building that was originally designed to function as a car repair shop. La Clinica used this building as a temporary COVID response clinic and after the pandemic ended, this building served as our temporary Acute Care Clinic. With the building of a new, much larger Acute Care Clinic, we are ready to demolish this ancillary building and develop this into a 3,876 square foot retail pharmacy, with drive-up capabilities, and a processing laboratory. This new facility, to be called the Acute Care Clinic Annex, will support the services of the nearby Acute Care Clinic and Wellness Center and enable La Clinica to provide pharmacy services to over 2,400 unique patients per year with approximately 28,000 prescriptions by the end of the project period. The total project cost is $2,491,114 and we respectfully request $2,000,000 in Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS), Construction Project funding to fund the project’s construction and equipment costs.
