Renovation/Remodel of the KVH Surgical Services and Orthopedics Spaces - Project Abstract Kittitas Valley Healthcare, a critical access hospital with accompanying rural healthcare clinics, will complete a $3 million renovation and expansion of its Orthopedics and Surgical Services clinics in Ellensburg, Washington. The project will modernize approximately 7,434 square feet serving Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Vascular Surgery through critical electrical and HVAC upgrades, expanded exam and procedure space, and the addition of an in-clinic X-ray facility. The project will increase local access to specialty and surgical care, improve patient experience and clinical efficiency, and strengthen the long-term healthcare infrastructure serving residents of Kittitas County. Funding includes a $2.26 million federal award from Senator Patty Murray, $599,460 in Washington State capital funding secured through Representative Alex Ybarra, and other committed project resources. Summary of Work Completed Kittitas Valley Healthcare renovated approximately 7,434 square feet within Suites A and B at 611 S. Chestnut Street in Ellensburg, Washington, to modernize and expand its Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Vascular Surgery clinics. The project began in November 2024 and was completed on September 8, 2025. The work included electrical and HVAC infrastructure improvements, reconfiguration and renovation of existing clinical space, and installation of diagnostic and clinical equipment. The Orthopedics Clinic was expanded to include eight new examination rooms, a preoperative examination room, additional office space, and an in-clinic X-ray facility. The General Surgery and Vascular Surgery clinics gained three examination rooms, new offices, and dedicated procedure space. The completed renovation provides a modern, safe, and efficient environment for delivering expanded specialty and surgical care to residents of Kittitas County.
