Archways Tilton Center Renovation and Second-Floor Expansion to Expand Recovery, Family Support, and Workforce Development Services - Address: 5 Prospect Street, Tilton NH 03276 Project Director: Mark Watman Contact Phone Number: 603-520-7870 Email Address: mwatman@archwaysnh.org Archways requests HRSA Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending to support the renovation and second-floor expansion of the Archways Tilton Center, located at 5 Prospect Street in Tilton, New Hampshire. Archways owns the facility and operates it as an integrated Recovery Community Organization and Family Resource Center serving residents of Tilton and surrounding rural communities. The existing facility no longer provides sufficient space, privacy, accessibility, or service separation to meet community need. Archways currently provides peer recovery support, family support, community education, workforce development, and related services from a building that is constrained by its current layout and limited usable program space. These limitations affect Archways’ ability to serve distinct participant groups safely and effectively, accommodate growing demand, and expand training pathways for the recovery and family support workforce. The proposed project will construct approximately 2,860 square feet of new second-floor program space within the existing building footprint and modernize the first floor to improve participant flow, privacy, accessibility, circulation, and operational efficiency. The project will include interior buildout, framing, partitions, doors, drywall, ceilings, flooring, finishes, HVAC and ventilation improvements, electrical upgrades, plumbing modifications, life-safety systems, accessibility improvements, and related code-compliant construction necessary to place the expanded facility into service. The first-floor reconfiguration will create more distinct areas for family support and recovery participants, while the new second floor will provide additional space for recovery support, family support, community meetings, workforce training, recovery coach training, family support training, and related services. The population to be served includes individuals and families affected by substance use disorder, parents and caregivers, children and youth, rural residents, low-income households, single parents, kinship and grandfamilies, people transitioning from incarceration, pregnant and parenting teens, and other underserved community members who benefit from integrated, community-based recovery and family support services. The renovated Tilton Center will strengthen Archways’ ability to deliver accessible, trauma-informed, family-centered, and recovery-oriented services in a rural region with significant health, social service, and workforce needs. HRSA funds will support a portion of the overall connected construction scope, focused on eligible construction and fixed building-system improvements necessary to create safe, functional, energy-efficient, and program-ready space. The project will not expand the building footprint or require acquisition of additional land. When complete, the project will nearly double the facility’s usable program capacity and create a more effective, accessible, and sustainable community resource for recovery, family support, workforce development, and community resilience.
