Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending - Construction - The proposed project at Summit Pacific Medical Center aims to expand and enhance the facility to meet the increasing healthcare demands of our community. The current 31,700 square foot facility is inadequate to accommodate the growing need for acute and emergency medical services. To address these needs, the project will involve significant structural expansions, renovations, and infrastructure improvements, including the addition of a new acute care unit, an expanded emergency department, a new MRI suite, and a relocated helipad to improve patient transport efficiency. Additionally, the project will increase parking capacity and construct a new facility engineering building to support operations. These enhancements will benefit the residents of Elma and neighboring towns by providing increased healthcare services to a diverse population. This includes residents, surrounding communities, and vulnerable groups such as the elderly and underserved individuals. By expanding and modernizing the medical center, Summit Pacific aims to deliver accessible, high-quality medical care to better meet the needs of its growing patient population. The funding will specifically be utilized for phase 2 of the construction project including carpentry, framing/drywall, landscaping, fire sprinkler, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, med-gas, civil, paving, exterior glazing, and siding.
