Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending - Construction - Aspire Health Partners – Seminole County Assessment Center 237 Fernwood Boulevard, Fern Park, FL 32730 Project Director: Roscoe Griffin, Vice President of Facilities and Administrative Operations Office: 407-875-3700 x4411 Email: Roscoe.Griffin@AspireHP.org Website: https://aspirehealthpartners.com/ Grant Funds: $310,000 Aspire Health Partners’ (Aspire) Seminole Assessment Center will serve individuals with mental health, substance abuse, trauma and other co-occurring disorders (COD). The project will target individuals residing in Seminole County Florida. Seminole County is part of the Orlando Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is the third largest MSA in the State. The proposed project is designed to close an identified gap in the County’s existing continuum of services. The Seminole County Assessment Center will serve as a single point of access for individuals and families who are seeking mental health or substance abuse services, but who do not need immediate hospitalization or involuntarily commitment for crisis stabilization or detoxification. The center will accept voluntary walk-ins, law enforcement, physician, clinician, and school administrator referrals. By diverting individuals into more appropriate community-based services, the Assessment Center will help reduce the number of individuals incarcerated and/or hospitalized in Seminole County. The proposed Seminole County Assessment Center will be housed in Aspire’s Fernwood Campus located at 237 Fernwood Boulevard, Fern Park, FL 32730. The Assessment Center will be built in existing administrative office space that is currently underutilized and inappropriately configured to serve as an assessment and an evaluation service center for individual and families who are seeking mental health or substance abuse services. A portion of the existing space (approximately ,750 square feet) will be converted into more appropriate reception, evaluation and assessment, and office space.
