This will include full demolition of the existing space, and redesign on the 9th floor east side of E- building at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. NYC H+H/Kings County is proposing to provide a new outpatient oncology and infusion center for the Brooklyn community. This new outpatient oncology and infusion space will be constructed in accordance with all applicable NYC Building Codes, regulations, and will comply with NFPA requirements. The useful life of this project is 20 Years or more, and the existing space will be gut-demoed and rebuilt per the new layout and requirements The funding will assist in payment for Phase One of the project. This will include full demolition of the existing area, redesign the east side of the 9th floor. Phase Two will construct two infusion recovery rooms, six exam rooms, six bathrooms, waiting rooms, nurse station reception and staff pantry. Additionally, there will be a replacement of the HVAC, plumbing and electrical. Creating a new outpatient oncology and infusion center is important to public health in our Brooklyn area. The purpose of an outpatient oncology and infusion center is to provide specialized medical care and treatment to patients in a comfortable and convenient environmental setting. This center is designed to offer comprehensive care and support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment, while allowing them to receive treatment on an outpatient basis without the need for hospitalization.
