Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending - Construction - Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending - Construction - Website: chugachmiut.org -Requested funding: $2,458,654 The Chugachmiut Regional Health Center Construction Project is a project to design and construct a state-of-the-art, 15,000 sq. ft. healthcare facility to replace the inadequate original clinic site in Seward, Alaska. This facility will double the total amount of floor space compared to the original clinic and significantly expand the range of services available for the city of Seward and communities throughout the region. Services will include primary care, behavioral health, dentistry, optometry, local laboratory and testing services, elder and vulnerable adult care, EMS training, psychiatry, and counseling services. The CRHC will employ cutting-edge technology including telehealth systems, electronic records repository systems, and remote pharmaceutical dispensary services. Chugachmiut requests $2,458,654.00 for the following stages of this project: Site demolition, site preparation, earthwork, water mains, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and steel pile foundations.
