Affordable Care Act (ACA)Consumer Assistance Program Grants Project - Project Objectives for Virginia $830,000 Grant: • Expand the consumer assistance services of the Virginia State Corporation Commission Bureau of Insurance (BOI) in accident and sickness insurance; assist consumers with the filing of complaints and appeals; assist consumers with enrollment in fully insured policies of accident and sickness insurance and managed care health insurance plans without recommending specific plans or carriers; guide consumers to appropriate state or federal agencies for assistance with complaints, appeals or inquiries as appropriate; provide consumer satisfaction surveys electronically to obtain feedback and evaluate suggestions for improving BOI services and response times; and provide services for consumers with limited English proficiency to the extent such services are available to BOI via existing state contract. • Add demographic data collection and tracking functionality within the existing BOI consumer services system (CS System) and objectively report
