Fiscal Year 2023 Capital Assistance for Hurricane Response and Recovery Efforts (CARE) - PHI’s Executive Management Team have selected the proposed use of funds dedicated towards upgrades towards the Administrative location at 1425 S. U.S. Hwy 301, Sumterville, FL 33585. This building was built in 1993 and has the original roof and HVAC system which is operating poorly and very inefficient. PHI’s Board of Directors has approved this application/proposal. The following is a brief scope of work for the Langley Health Services Administrative Building, which is approximately 8500 SF. Located in Sumter County, Florida. This location houses several key leaders, the Healthy Start team, the human resources team, the billing team, the finance team along with several additional functional components of PHI’s infrastructure. The existing metal roofing is to be replaced with new metal roofing. Once completed, the buildings insulation, which has deteriorated over time will be replaced with Spray Foam Insulation approximately 8” thick to obtain an R-38 value. The existing mechanical system, which is inefficient and consists of several original units, will all be replaced with Lennox, high efficiency, eighteen seer, variable speed units. The total new Mechanical system is comprised of eight units providing 24 tons of air. New LED lights will replace all the existing florescent bulbs throughout the building, and coordinating with the new 2x2 LED lights will be a new redesigned grid ceiling with acoustical tiles. Due to the nature of the proposed project, a design consultant will be required to produce Florida Approved Engineered Drawings and Specifications as well as a State Certified Building Contractor to ascertain Permits from Sumter County for the above-mentioned scope of construction services.
