The objective of this project is twofold: to respond to and recover from emergency and/or disaster impacts and to increase the capacity and capability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from future emergencies and/or disasters. By doing so, the project aims to ensure the continuity of access to high-quality primary care services for underserved populations. The proposed alterations and renovations will focus on modernizing and improving the interior arrangements of Clinica Los Prados. This will involve upgrading the facility's infrastructure, affixing necessary equipment. Through these alterations and renovations, Clinica Los Prados will be better equipped to respond to emergencies and disasters, ensuring the safety and well-being of both patients and staff. The improved infrastructure and enhanced services will contribute to the overall resilience of the facility, enabling it to provide high-quality care even in challenging circumstances. Project II: Alteration/Renovation (A/R) of Corporacion SANOS Main Facility Corporacion SANOS is requesting funding of $ 370,000 for the Alteration/Renovation (A/R) of SANOS Main Site to enhance its resilience and ability to provide uninterrupted services in the event of a disaster, particularly in hurricane-prone areas. The project aims to connect, acquire a generator, install an emergency water storage system, procure dental equipment, and improve the IT system. These activities will strengthen the health center's infrastructure and capacity to prepare for, respond to, and recover from future emergencies and disasters. By ensuring the continuity of access to care, this project will significantly contribute to the well-being of underserved populations and reduce health disparities in the impacted area.
