Fiscal Year 2023 Capital Assistance for Hurricane Response and Recovery Efforts (CARE) - The devastation caused by Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Fiona in Puerto Rico without a doubt acutely affected the most vulnerable and neglected sectors, such as: family systems living in economic straits, the elderly, children, people with conditions comorbid health conditions, as well as to other minority populations on the Island. However, in the town of Ciales, PryMed Medical Care was the only primary care center that kept its doors open during the emergencies that the island experienced. The projects suggested under these funds for recovery and emergency efforts are the following: Renovation of the optometry area: The project proposes total will be 2,460 Sq. Ft. The space will be reconfigured to provide an area with better circulation to improve access to exam rooms, as well as the dispensing optician space where eyeglasses and patient services are evaluated. Conference room and maintenance area: in case of natural disasters is carried out in an environment of cooperation between the professionals that make up our center. Regarding the maintenance area, we will be remodeling the area so that will permit a space more broader for the flow of this personnel. This area will also store material to achieve the reduction of possible infections, health risks in the event of an emergency. Human Resources Area: The role of this department is essential and valuable in times of crisis, they are responsible for the development of effective tactics when facing climatic emergencies since they require planning and development of organizational tactics. In the HR area is where critical decisions are made beforehand and, in turn, they know the steps to follow when the time comes to implement the mitigation and/or emergency plan. Public restroom: this area will be remodeled to improve access to patient with functional diverse in disaster natural. Billing and collection: Natural disasters can be disastrous for any organization's finances. It is essential that certain measures are put into practice to face any weather condition. The less danger we face as an organization, the less likely we are to cause further property damage or face expensive bills.
