Fiscal Year 2023 Capital Assistance for Hurricane Response and Recovery Efforts (CARE) - Through the CARE funding, Advance Community Health (ACH) will complete all related activities to improve our Southeast Raleigh location: CARE 1 -SER project. The project will impact over 30,000 feet of space and directly improve 25,000 feet of patient service space. Specifically, CARE 1-SER will address the building’s aging HVAC system through the purchase and installation of a new JACE system: which provide integrated control, supervision, data logging, alarming, scheduling, and network management of the HVAC system. The current JACE controller is more almost a decade old and was purchased at wholesale pricing. It is also a discontinued model that does not integrate with current internet and computer software. This is a priority for our organization as regulating the temperature of the patient areas is key for health, safety and overall satisfaction. In addition, ACH improve all patient areas (exam rooms, etc.) and common area with new paint. The building was contracted in 2014 and has not received any updates to the appearance of these identified areas. The general wear and tear on this building is exponential as we have over 60K visits/year. The new paint will improve the lobby, and primary care departments: pediatrics, family medicine, dental, and pharmacy. Also, the CARE 1-SER project will replace the carpets in common areas across the building. Again, these are original carpets from the construction of the site over a decade ago. This improvement is much needed to minimize potential hazards and risks from deteriorating flooring. Lastly, ACH will replace and install one of our two main water heaters that has failed and is non functioning the unit is a major component in our ability to regulate and supply heated water across the building. Through CARE funding Advance Community Health will launch CARE 2 - Equipment to increase access, and enhance functionality and overall patient satisfaction across two site: 1001 Rock Quarry Road and 1101 Rock Quarry Road. 1101 Rock Quarry Road is our main campus patient hub. Approximately 75% of our patient encounters occur at this site. It houses all required services and our full service pharmacy. This project provides the opportunity to replace necessary dental equipment: dental chairs and all pertinent and supplement supplies needed to function that chair. In addition, we will purchase new patient chairs to replace worn and/or damaged chairs that pose a risk to patients and staff. 1001 Rock Quarry Road is our Administration Building that houses 50+ employees, including our Care Management Team, Finance, Medical Records, and Outreach. Through the available funding this project will replace necessary office furniture that was damaged in a food last winter when a bathroom pipe froze and subsequently exploded, damaging the entire Finance suite.
