The Fort Peck Tribes will hire a Call Center Coordinator and three Suicide Intervention Specialists to operate the Call Center and Treatment Project. Each employee is dedicated to the project 100%. The project will work to train up to 70 community members in ASIST, QPR, safeTALK, and CAMS-care to serve as volunteers at the Call Center. The Call Center will provide a dedicated room for telehealth therapy for those clients seeking counseling, as well as youth and families who have been impacted by suicide. Funds have been requested to be able to transport clients to appointments at the Call Center. The Fort Peck Tribes will work with the Rocky Mountain Tribal Epidemiology Center in Billings for Program Evaluation (at no cost to the project). We are requesting funding for 5 years and will develop third party options for sustainability of the project. The Call Center and Treatment Project will be operated by the Fort Peck Tribal Health Department with the current Tribal Health Director serving as the Project Director who will oversee the implementation of the Project as well as directly supervising the Call Center Coordinator. The Call Center and Treatment Project will serve as a community resource for those seeking help for themselves or their loved ones and family. The Call Center and Treatment Project staff will be able to take calls regarding suicide, track participation, usage, and implement evidence-based practices with callers, including dedicated space for telehealth therapy. The Call Center and Treatment Project can serve as a resource for those who contact 911. We will gauge the success of the project by the number of calls to the center, the referrals from 911, and the follow-up appointments using the dedicated room for telehealth therapy. We have included objectives and activities for each required goal.
