YMCA Enough. for Native American Youth supports expanded efforts needed to reach Native American victims, provide the supports that will help Native American victims become survivors, and to train professionals and communities to recognize and join efforts to reduce and eliminate trafficking, and see and appropriately help Native American victims. Our ENOUGH. program works within a Positive Youth Development framework. Youth Support Specialists work alongside youth to help them learn and practice skills they need to become self-sufficient and to thrive, including building protective factors such as resiliency, relationship building, and conflict resolution. We have embedded the evidence-based principles of Trauma Informed Care throughout our program, and use best practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Listening First, and Harm Reduction to help youth move towards safety while respecting youth voice and autonomy.
