To provide education and assistance to Montana Medicare-eligible individuals, their families, and caregiversto assist in making informed health insurance decisions. - The Montana SHIP, in collaboration with the Montana Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) and other key partners, will strive to strengthen our Montana SHIP Network and continue to empower, educate and assist Medicare-eligible individuals, their families, and caregivers through outreach, objective, personalized and confidential counseling, and training, to make informed health decisions that optimize access to care and benefits. The objectives are to reach an additional 15,000 hard to reach Medicare beneficiaries, recruit, train and retain an additional 50 SHIP Counselors, Counsel an additional 26,000 Medicare beneficiaries and strengthen our SHIP data reporting to ensure our data is accurate, timely and meaningful. The expected outcomes of this opportunity are reaching more hard-to-reach Medicare beneficiaries, especially those in rural/frontier settings, LGBTQ+, including those on the seven Montana Indian Reservations, additional SHIP Counselors strategically placed around the state and valuable, accurate data that supports our efforts.
