2025-2030 Kentucky State Health Insurance Assistance Program Grant - The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Aging and Independent Living in partnership with the fifteen Area Agencies on Aging and Independent Living and other key stakeholders, will, in the course of this five-year project, expand and maintain a statewide coordinated State Health Insurance Assistance Program that builds on the infrastructure currently in place. The goal of this project is to consistently and confidentially provide accurate, objective, and comprehensive Medicare information and assistance to Kentuckians, and promote awareness, knowledge and visibility of the program in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The objectives are: 1) Consistently and confidentially provide accurate, objective and comprehensive information and assistance. 2) Promote awareness, knowledge and visibility of the program; 3) To develop and strengthen the program, structure and organization, including policies and procedures to monitor the volunteer risk appropriately. Anticipated outcomes include: 1) A five percent increase in the number of client contacts each year over 5 years; 2) A five percent increase in the number of Group Outreach and Education and Media Outreach and Education Events each year over 5 years; 3) Improved and expanded network of volunteers with a ten percent increase over 5 years.
