Nevada Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) - Goals: The overall goal of this project is to strengthen program administration and expand sustainable partnerships to increase program awareness, diversify outreach and service delivery, and improve statewide access to quality services for Medicare eligible beneficiaries over the next five (5) years. Objectives: Expand the availability of quality services in all areas of Nevada through increased capacity and implementation of innovative strategies. Utilize progressive methods and diverse materials to promote awareness, knowledge, and visibility of the Nevada Medicare Assistance Program. Build rapport within communities through an increased number of sustainable partnerships that assist with outreach, direct services, and team member recruitment. Evaluate and update program policies and processes to support project goals and objectives, resulting in more efficient and effective service delivery. Outcomes: Increased penetration rates across all SHIP Performance Measures by a minimum of 10% over the next 5 years. Improved Part D Enrollment Outcomes and accuracy of information reported. At least one outreach event held in micropolitan and noncore counties per year. Growth of sustainable partnerships by at least two per year. Implementation of at least one new strategy that can be shared with the national SHIP network, that helps improve service delivery, outreach, or access to services. Incorporation of the Volunteer Risk and Program Management Policies into day-to-day operations. Development and use of culturally sensitive, accessible, and inclusive marketing and educational materials. Products: Culturally sensitive outreach and education materials. Accessible and inclusive promotional materials. Easy to read and follow presentations and handouts. Revised training curriculum.
