Idaho's Bridge to Employment Program - The Idaho Bridge to Employment (Idaho B2E) Program will provide statewide coordinated employment services, job placement assistance, and English language instruction to support new refugee arrivals in achieving economic independence while meeting Idaho's workforce needs. The program is founded on the principle that employment is the pathway to independence. In partnership with experienced resettlement agencies, English language providers, employers, and community organizations, Idaho B2E provides individualized employment services tailored to each participant's work experience, education, English proficiency, financial needs, and career goals. Services include employment and family self-sufficiency planning, job readiness training, English language instruction, job search and placement assistance, employer connections, supportive services, and follow-up to promote job retention and career advancement. Idaho B2E takes a family-centered approach by helping households increase earned income and reduce dependence on public assistance. Participants are expected to take an active, accountable role in achieving their employment goals by engaging in job readiness activities, English language instruction or other employability training, and ongoing job search while working with employment specialists to overcome barriers and build lasting financial independence. The program also supports Idaho employers by building strong employer partnerships and connecting qualified job seekers with available positions to help meet workforce needs across the state. Statewide coordination enables participating agencies to share employer relationships, job leads, and effective practices, thereby maximizing employment opportunities and reducing duplication of effort. Building on Idaho's long-standing employment-focused refugee service model, the program uses coordinated referrals, integrated case management, statewide partnerships, and strong fiscal oversight to maximize public resources and achieve measurable employment outcomes. Through rapid employment and career advancement, Idaho B2E will strengthen Idaho families, support Idaho employers, and contribute to the state's economy.
