USCRI Refugee Youth Resource Center - The grant recipient administers the Refugee Youth Resource Center under the National Refugee Children and Youth Resilience Grant through a Cooperative Agreement with the Office of Refugee Resettlement. The program expands the child welfare and protection capacity at refugee-serving agencies across the U.S. through training and technical assistance (TTA), partnership and outreach, crisis intervention and case consultation, and assessment and evaluation activities. The goals of the program are to strengthen the child welfare capacity and expertise of refugee-serving agencies; improve communication and coordination between local child welfare agencies, mainstream service providers, and refugee-serving agencies to ensure that they are educated on, and can help resolve, issues impacting refugee children, youth, and their families; and, ensure that service providers working with refugee children and youth who are at risk, or who are in crisis, have access to case consultation and crisis intervention services that promote the safety, stability, and well-being of refugee children and families, as well as communities in which they have resettled.
