USAging Information and Planning: Understanding and Enhancing the Capacity of the Aging Network - USAging, in partnership with Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University, will achieve the project goal to understand and enhance the capacity of the Aging Network to respond to the current and future needs of older adults and their caregivers. USAging proposes the following objectives: 1) Develop and implement a plan for gathering information from AAAs and Tribal Organizations on key home and community-based services and programs for older adults and caregivers; 2) Collect and analyze representative information about AAAs and Title VI programs to assist in understanding the capacity of the Aging Network and identifying training and technical assistance needs; and 3) Provide technical assistance resources based on the information gathered, including best practice examples, reports and tools, webinars and conference presentations to enhance the capacity of the Network. USAging will conduct grant activities through the lens of ACL’s priority topics of family caregiving, contracts and commercial relationships, state/local multi-sector plans on aging, implications of the direct care workforce crisis, vaccine access and Title III/Title VI coordination. Anticipated outcomes include 1) AAAs and Title VI programs are broadly represented in the new information gathered; 2) AAAs and Title VI programs have access to new training and technical assistance resources in ACL priority topical areas; and 3) AAAs and Title VI programs increase their use of training and technical assistance resources developed through this grant. Deliverables include AAA and Title VI national surveys, survey chartbooks and companion toolkits, interviews and focus groups, fact sheets, case example compilations, webinars, briefings and presentations.
