NWD System improvements for IT systems integration and interoperability and standardization of processes. - Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will utilize the Texas No Wrong Door (NWD) Governance Structure to enhance the implementation of Texas NWD System, improve efficiency of service delivery, and build upon previous system improvement efforts over the course of this two-year project. The overall project goal is to strengthen the coordination and delivery of the Texas NWD System to streamline Texans’ access to LTSS. The objectives are to: 1) develop and implement a modernized Information Management System (IMS) that broadly supports the statewide Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs) network, 2) strengthen the coordination of services across the Texas NWD network by assessing and identifying options for an integrated, interoperable IT system to bridge knowledge gaps and generate actionable recommendations, and 3) pilot a closed-loop referral process between 2-1-1 Texas Information and Referral Network (TIRN) Area Information Centers (AICs) to ADRCs to improve information and referral systems. Through this data-driven approach HHSC will boost effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery, pave the way for future investments in program innovation and expansion, and improve coordination through standards of practices.
