Provides wage-subsidized on-the-job training placements and employment coaching to Native jobseekers in construction trades through the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde's TERO - The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde's Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) will use Economic Advancement Grants for Local Empowerment (EAGLE) Project Area 3 (Welders to Elders) funding to expand its wage-subsidized On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, placing Native jobseekers directly onto active construction jobsites with established contractor partners for up to 160 hours of paid, supervised trades experience in laborer, flagging, carpentry, and equipment-operator roles. A dedicated Training and Development Coordinator will provide individualized coaching, timesheet oversight, and case management throughout each placement, while TERO's Compliance Officers vet candidates and monitor performance on the jobsite. TERO will fund complementary industry-standard certifications, such as flagging and CDL, through its own program budget. Over the three-year project period, the project is expected to complete approximately 45 OJT placements, building on TERO's demonstrated track record of dispatching over 250 individuals to jobs over the past three years.
