Expanding the National Capacity for Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed Care: Services and Supports for Holocaust Survivors and Other Older Adults with a History of Trauma and Their Family Caregivers - The Jewish Federations of North America (the Jewish Federations), in partnership with a broad network of local and national agencies, will build off its previous ACL grants and deepen the subgrants and technical assistance it provides to advance person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) care throughout the Aging Services Network. The goal of the project is to expand the national capacity to provide PCTI care to Holocaust survivors, older adults with a history of trauma, and family caregivers. The objectives are to: 1) increase the number and type of PCTI services for Holocaust survivors, older adults with a history of trauma, and their family caregivers; 2) increase the number and type of resources and educational opportunities to train and build the capacity of aging services providers to implement PCTI care for Holocaust survivors, older adults with a history of trauma, and their family caregivers. Anticipated outcomes include: 1) improved health and well-being of Holocaust survivors, older adults with a history of trauma, and their family caregivers; 2) improved knowledge and capacity of aging services providers to implement PCTI care to Holocaust survivors, older adults with a history of trauma, and their family caregivers. Expected products include: 1) new training resources on aging, trauma, and the PCTI approach such as journal articles, fact sheets, reports, webinars, and online and in-person course offerings; 2) an updated and streamlined website for the National Resource Center to house all training resources and connect aging service practitioners to learning opportunities; 3) a Common Evaluation Strategy report featuring grant and subgrant impact as well as best practices and recommendations for scaling and expanding PCTI services and support.
