Strengthening Aging Services for Minority Populations Through Technical Assistance, Resource Development, and Program Coordination - The National Caucus and Center on Black Aging, Inc. (NCBA), in partnership with the members of the Older Adult Equity Collaborative and key stakeholders, over three years, will provide culturally competent resources and technical assistance to build upon past advancements and innovations that serve African American older adults, family caregivers, and individuals living with disabilities. The goal of this project is to improve the provision, delivery, and use of supports available to African American older adults, family caregivers, and individuals living with disabilities by expanding and coordinating existing resources and technical assistance nationwide. Objectives: 1) Improve the provision of resources and technical assistance available to African American older adults, family caregivers, and individuals living with disabilities 2) Streamline access to resources and technical assistance; 3) Increase availability of resources and technical assistance; and 4) Increase the proportion of African American older adults, family caregivers, and individuals living with disabilities who use the Aging Network resources and technical assistance. Anticipated outcomes include: 1) African American older adults, family caregivers, and individuals living with disabilities will have greater options for choosing resources and technical assistance. 2) Providers will demonstrate an increased ability to provide culturally competent training, resources, and technical assistance. 3) African American older adults, family caregivers, and individuals living with disabilities will have streamlined access to resources and technical assistance. 4) Resources and technical assistance will be available through existing funding sources. 5) A sustainability plan will be developed to support the project in the future. The expected products are marketing and outreach materials, recorded webinars, YouTube videos, 1-800 Hotline, Resource Guide, and Outcome Study.
